This week my word is most likely one that you have heard and used a number of times, however recently I have been revising my own personal definition of this word. Last week I started my new job and already feel like I have chosen the right path to follow for the foreseeable future. Since leaving my job and travelling across Canada, I have had a lot of time for reflection - to decide what I really want in every aspect of my life. I was excited for the opportunity to slightly edge off my old career path, still taking a role in a similar field that pulls on that area of knowledge but challenging myself in new areas and doing something I am completely passionate about.
So here is my word and my definition/categorisation of the word;
career
verb - to get the career of your dreams you have to do something about it!
A huge proportion of your life that you are passionate about, that challenges you and sees your develop in your field of expertise and also as a person. Something you never begrudge getting out of bed for.
I always think it's important to create your own definition of that word. Since moving to the US I just couldn't get started to be given the chance for a career so I've made my own! It's certainly not paying me loads but I certainly love it!
ReplyDeleteI've seen that you're becoming quite the entrepreneur - which is awesome. I've found that moving away from 'home'/out of your comfort zone, encourages you to try new things that you perhaps may never have dreamed of doing or had the opportunity to do.
