Sunday Style | Career Girl

This week saw me back on my career path as I started my new job. I've had such a great week and cannot wait until Monday! As a result, the perfect items to build my work wardrobe have been the subject of retail therapy. This little collection would make for a welcome addition;

1. Did I mention that I have a thing for printed pants?! These would add an edge to the usual black pant suit.
2. The essential but stylish work footwear - the pump.
3. A LBD for events or pair with a blazer for meetings.
4. A classic blouse in every shade, although this red one feels very festive.
5. Jumpers (or 'sweater' if I am to use my Canadian vocab. education) are a versatile, necessity!

  1. I always think of a pump as a shoe with a heel, what you might call a court shoe, but apparently it's a term that can also be applied to what you're showing -- a ballet flat. Interesting. I still think of it as a court shoe, and that's what I wear to the office (for those rare visits -- my office is about 2,000 miles away).

    Yes, if you say "jumper" here, people will think you mean a sleeveless dress that goes over a T-shirt. :)

    1. We had an interesting discussion about different meanings of words in my office...the English language is a funny thing!

  2. Love the pants and those shoes are so perfect. I need a pair like this for work.

  3. I definitely want an animal jumper. This one from Cath Kidston is the cutest...
