Thanksgiving is alien concept to us Brits. In Canada and the US you have a long weekend and essentially an early Christmas dinner...I can't see why we don't embrace it! Obviously it has a bigger historical meaning than gorging on a feast and having an extra day off work. I think Thanksgiving is a positive holiday, where we are reminded to give thanks to at least one thing in our lives. Moments where we are asked to take a step back and appreciate something or someone can never be a bad thing.
I'm thankful for the adventure I have been on since June, travelling across Canada and all the people we have met along the way. The last few months have been a whirlwind and looking back I can't believe how far we've come. Most of all, I'm thankful to my parents, especially my Mum for 'supporting' me, even though I know she wishes I could be back home.
The photo above was taken in Vancouver and this is currently our view from the rooftop. I'm thankful for scenes like this every night!
Happy Thanksgiving...wherever you are in the world!

Ooo I never knew Canada even had a thanks giving until the other day! I really look forward to the American thanks giving because that's when we get the Christmas tree out haha!
ReplyDeleteI didn't either! If someone hadn't of told us we would have been up and out early yesterday. The American one is much later...I'm started to get excited about Christmas...I know it's too early!! lol
