Holiday Snaps

Tomorrow will mark 3 months since leaving the UK. In some ways it still feels like I left last week, as time has seemed to have stood still. We've crammed so much into our adventure and last week we arrived back in Vancouver after visiting our final destinations, LA and Vegas.

I loved Vegas. It really is unlike any other place. Every thing is a spectacle on grand scale. I'm not a huge drinker or gambler so I was surprised I loved it so much. I'd like to go back in the 'winter' months, as the heat in the day was unbearable in August. I love the heat but there was no way I could lie out in it like some other guests around the pool. Vegas heat is unreal.

We did Vegas on a budget, staying at the Planet Hollywood (opposite the Bellagio) for just $50 a night and no resort fees. Plus we got a free upgrade. The saying, "If you don't ask, you don't get" really rings true for Vegas! The only show we got to see was Peep Show, which was really good fun. Holly Madison is so tiny and she's 12 weeks pregnant. We were wowed by the Bellagio fountains, got lost in Ceaser's Palace, breakfasted at the Bellagio Cafe, lost a few $ on the slot machines (which don't shoot change out anymore!) and laughed a lot!

Where did you go on holiday this summer?
