Surprises from Home

If you asked me what I missed about being home in the UK, apart from desperately missing my family and friends, I'd have to say Dairy Milk. It really isn't the same here. I've slimmed down somewhat since being in Canada and refuse to admit that any extra puppy fat that I was sporting back in the UK was solely down to Cadbury. Oh and the Natural Confectionery Company. I have a very sweet tooth for their Jelly Snakes. I also miss staying in Cambridge with Claire, cosied up with a cup of peppermint tea, being taught all manner of crafty things.

However, relief was on it's way. Claire and her boyfriend sent A and I a UK Snack Pack. I was so excited to get home from work this afternoon to see what goodies awaited. True to Claire's form, it was so thoughtful and each item lovingly packed. I just had to share my happiness and fortune of having such a wonderful friend.

On opening the box, we were immediately greeted with a big box of decaf PG Tips and our favourite sweet treats! I think a proper cup of English Breakfast Tea has been the food and beverage luxury I miss the most. We opened the card the first, which I thought I recognised from here by Ello Design. If you love delicate, pretty greetings cards then I would recommended browsing Ello Design's Etsy shop.

Knowing that I was missing our crafty weekends and missed out on the first Crafty Creatives box back home, Claire included in our box of treasure a kit from the craft box. How to make your own fabric flower brooch, which I will be completing this week and excitedly posting on here after getting my craft fix!

Saving the best until last, the final neatly wrapped mint coloured package will be featuring on the blog very soon. It contains an item from Claire's Etsy shop. I'm so excited to show it off tomorrow at work and I can't wait to reveal a little more over the next few days. I am going to have to try my hardest not to Instagram it tomorrow!!

See if you can guess what Claire has sent me - take a look at her Etsy shop.
Some of you may know Claire as claireabellemakes ;)

  2. Can you not get English brand tea in Canada?! Oh my ... at least we can get that here in the US. I've always been more of a Galaxy chocolate fan so i've not been missing the Cadbury chocolate. Love gift/food parcels, they are the best although for me they've only been coming from my blog feed, my irl friends have seem to have washed their hands of me since i'm mood. Le sigh.

    1. We can't find it anywhere!
I think it's pretty normal for friends to be like that. They're lives continue as normal...out of sight, out of mind as they say. x
