For as long as I can remember I have always wanted to watch a baseball game. I'm usually not a sports fan but baseball seems easy to follow and I've been told that the atmosphere is electric. Plus American rom-coms always glamorize the spectating of it. Whilst in New York we didn't get time to watch the New York Yankees play. So when we found out that the Toronto Blue Jays were back in town playing the LA Angels, we ready and waiting to get our tickets!
We watched the first game of the 4 day series on Thursday night and I can safely say that I am hooked! We had great seats on the middle tear and compared to the New York Yankee tickets, they were very reasonable. There were some nail biting moments, a Mexican wave here and there and a lot of shouting, booing and chanting. Oh and a hot dog...naturally.
I went to the game sporting the Blue Jays' colours. In all honesty, this was a huge coincidence. Nevertheless after 10 minutes of play I felt like a true fan and glad I hadn't chosen to wear red that day (LA Angels colours).

The Blue Jays lost on Thursday but for me it didn't matter either way. I still walked back to the hotel chanting...

It looks like such a great atmosphere! And was the hot dog good or as bad as the cinema ones?

The hot dog was amazing. I think most of that was down to the excitement of where I was eating than the taste. TIP: dont look directly at it and you'll have no problems!

I'm still yet to go to a game! Although me and Joe have attention spans much alike a fish and i'm not sure we could cope with how long the games are. REALLY need to get myself to a football match over here!
ReplyDeleteIt was about 3 hours but it goes so quickly. I was on the edge of my seat the whole time. I really recommend it. I'm not normally one for sports due to lapsing into boredom fairly easily but the atmosphere together with the game really does keep you entertained.
