Bienvenue au Canada

Yesterday afternoon we touched down on Canadian soil. After smoothly passing into the country we jumped in a taxi, using very poor French we made it to our hotel. And what a room we were given! We knew it was a studio type arrangement but we have an apartment! I could easily live here. It is H U G E! After excitedly jumping and running around what is our 'home' for the next week we set off for a wander to "get our bearings," as my Mum would say.

We stopped off at the local supermarket, deciding that we would make full use of the kitchen in our apartment. In typical English abroad style we stuck to what we know...Old El Paso. In our defence our energy levels we quickly disappearing being that our bodies thought it was gone 11pm but it was only 6pm here. We  finally gave in at 10pm local time, 3am UK time.

This morning we run 'normal' everyday errands, such as visiting the bank and eating lunch alongside the city workers outside Notre Dame. In the afternoon we went on an epic stroll around the city, becoming tourists again and exploring the cobbled streets and ports on our doorstep.

The sun has burnt away every cloud sky, leaving us with a bright blue backdrop for today's photos...
