A very busy January

As the end of January looms I have found myself reflecting on how quickly it has passed. Everyone seems to pass comment on how fast the months go by but this month really has evaporated. I've had such a busy month. I hoped to be posting double the amount.

We decided to redecorate upstairs, which has literally seen our home turned upside down. This is the main reason for my lack of posts. Our carpet is being fitted as we speak. As a result we camped out in the living room on our mattress on the floor last night. Before and after pictures will be gracing this blog over the coming days - you know when you've become a 'grown up' when you get excited about a new carpet!

This month my fiance and I are making big plans for the coming year which as soon as they start to come to fruition, I will certainly be blogging about - don't want to tempt fate just yet.

On Saturday I dusted off my running shoes. I thought I was only going to make about 3k before feeling like my lungs were about to explode but something came over me at 2.5k and before I knew it I was back at my house having run 7.4k! Was extremely pleased with myself so treated myself to a new pair of trainers - Love them!

My cake making abilities has began to circulate around work and I had my first 'order' - Black Forest Gateau. Sunday afternoon was spent mostly on perfecting this delicious number;

And of course this month A Girl's Imagination was born and I have spent a lot of time faffing around with layout and design rather than posting - This gets really addictive!

Thank you to everyone who has followed via BlogLovin and to those of you who randomly cross my little space and read my posts. I didn't imagine how many people would be interested in what I write.

Finally, huge hello to a very beautiful friend of mine Sophia, thanks for the lovely feedback :)
